Job Title: CDL Class A Truck Driver (OTR)
Job Summary:
We are seeking a reliable and experienced CDL Class A Truck Driver with a minimum of 2 years of over-the-road (OTR) experience. The ideal candidate will have a strong commitment to safety, professionalism, and timely deliveries. This role involves long-haul routes, adherence to DOT regulations, and maintaining excellent communication with dispatch and customers.
Key Responsibilities:
- Operate a Class A commercial vehicle safely and efficiently over long distances
- Transport goods to designated locations in a timely manner
- Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle
- Maintain accurate logs and records in compliance with DOT regulations
- Communicate effectively with dispatch regarding routes, delays, and delivery status
- Ensure cargo is properly secured and handled to prevent damage
- Follow all traffic laws, safety procedures, and company policies
Requirements:
- Valid CDL Class A license
- Minimum of 2 years OTR (over-the-road) driving experience
- Clean driving record with no major violations
- Ability to pass DOT physical and drug screening
- Strong knowledge of DOT regulations and safety standards
- Ability to drive long hours and travel for extended periods
- Dependable, punctual, and professional attitude
- Drug Screen pre-employment
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with electronic logging devices (ELDs)
- Basic vehicle maintenance knowledge
- Strong problem-solving and communication skills
Work Environment:
- Long-haul routes across regional or national territories
- Extended periods on the road, including nights, weekends, and holidays as needed
